Plot summary : ** 1 - 1492 marked the quincentenary of Columbus' discovery of America. Christopher Columbus is a beautiful and entertaining movie that recaptures the time when Columbus first rose to greatness, later to become one of history's greatest catalysts for his eventual discovery of America. Set in the 15th century, this movie depicts his marvellous adventures and dramatic life throughout both his childhood, as well as adulthood, until his eventual death. ** 2 - Christopher Columbus is a boy from Genoa who wants to become a sailor at all costs even if his father is not agree with him. Anyway, after some journeys with John’s crew, a good friend, Christopher decides to go to Lisbon in order to learn everything possible about marine science. His biggest wish is to enter the School of Navigation at the capital city, a feat not easily achieved by a foreigner.....
** 3 - The young Christopher, against his father's will, wants to become a sailor and he succeeds to do his first experiences aboard John's boat, a good man and a great sailor. One night, during a journey back from the isle of Chios, the ship collides with a rock before the storm sets in. Unfortunately, in order to save the ship and the lives of the crew, John must sacrifice his own life. Columbus sets sail as the chief sailor on a cargo vessel en route from Genoa to Lisbon transporting precious loads of contents. Having passed the Straits of Gibraltar, the fleet then encounters pirates off the coast of Saint Vincent’s Cape. The Genoese crew tries to escape from the pirates, but to no avail; they are soundly defeated, and their ship is sunk. Shipwrecked, Columbus finds himself at the mercy of the waves...
** 4 - Columbus travels back to Spain after his first great expedition to be awarded by the royal family.. Due to his great success, he leaves for new expeditions in search of new lands and resources, but with no luck... A story about one of the most famous men in his last journeys...
** 5 - Christopher Columbus decides to go on a journey to prove that the Earth is not flat. His companion is a smart wood worm who's on a quest of his own: to save a beautiful fairy princess from the evil lord Swarm and his insect army.

The following morning Yang and Pan meet with the emperor about the issue; Yang executes 30 whiplashes to his young sons as punishment. Later, Song's border stations are burned, signaling an invasion from the Khitan-ruled Liao regime.
