Plot summary : ** 1 - Wall Street's leading headhunter Vincent Palmer (Christian Slater) isn't just extremely good in finding the ideal executives for corporate top jobs and offering them a deal hard to resist. His special knack is making them sign even if they really don't want to. Such a hard nut is Benjamin 'Ben' Keats (Gil Bellows), who invented a brilliant people tracking device and is committed to his partners and staff to use it to launch their firm VizTrack on the stock exchange. Vincent pulls all seductive stops with Ben, his wife (Estella Warren) and daughter (Conchita Campbell), in vain. Then he hints even murder is in his repertoire. Ben checks out that's true but decides to fight back.
** 2 - In the turn of the nineteenth century, orphan Jeb Rand (Robert Mitchum) is raised by Mrs. Callum (Dame Judith Anderson) with her daughter Thor (Teresa Wright) and her son Adam (John Rodney). Jeb has a trauma with recollections of boots and flashes of light and Adam envies him. When Jeb is shot by the one-armed Grant Callum (Dean Jagger), Mrs. Callum goes to the hotel and tells his relative to stop the family feud and forget Jeb. Years later, Grant is a prosecutor and presses Jeb to fight in the war against the Spanish. When Jeb returns a decorated hero, he courts Thor and proposes to her. But Jeb has an argument with Adam that was poisoned by Grant and Adam snipes his stepbrother while he is riding, trying to kill him. However, Jeb shoots him in self-defense and is declared not guilty by the court. But Grant has not given-up to kill the last Rand.
